The Story: She wears the sea the way a queen wears her jewels — scallop shells fanned into a crown, sea grass yellow from crown to collar, a necklace of shells closing at her neck. GODDESS is carried by hand from a studio in Roges di Rende, Cosenza, Calabria, the work of Maurizio Orrico, whose sculpture and installation work has shown at the Venice Art Biennale and the Shanghai Expo, and Enrica Vulcano, the NABA-trained design intelligence behind OVO. Every shell in her crown was shaped and placed by hand, one at a time, in OVO's signature matte finish — no two identical, no detail machine-made.
